Nanda sees art as a space for connection. Her practice brings together sound and image to explore what lingers beyond the experience itself an emotion, a memory, a feeling that resists definition.

Each composition emerges from observation a fascination with fleeting moments, silence, rhythm, and the depth that exists between the visible and the invisible.

Rather than creating works, Nanda crafts immersive atmospheres where people are invited to pause, feel, and discover their own way of inhabiting time and space.

Not every artistic journey follows a straight path, some are shaped by movement, changing landscapes, the need to reinvent oneself, and the ability to find a sense of home within the creative process itself. This is the place from which Nanda creates.

A multidisciplinary artist, music producer, DJ, photographer, illustrator, and graphic designer, Nanda develops a practice where sound and image become part of the same artistic inquiry. Her work explores the relationship between memory, space, time, and perception, approaching art not as a finished object, but as a place of encounter and connection.

Her journey began over a decade ago in Colombia under the alias Amalia, immersed in the country's electronic music scene as both a producer and DJ. During this time, she performed at some of Colombia's most recognized clubs while developing a distinct sonic identity and releasing her first productions through independent labels, including a vinyl release.

Over time, that search led her to Europe, before settling in Barcelona, she performed in clubs across Amsterdam and Germany. Five years ago, she made the decision to relocate permanently, beginning a new chapter shaped by displacement, adaptation, and deep introspection, Rather than experiencing migration as a rupture, she embraced it as the foundation of a more conscious artistic practice, where listening, silence, and observation became essential elements of her creative process.

This transformation resonates throughout her work, her music moves fluidly between house, minimal house, dub techno, breakbeat, and ambient not as fixed genres, but as territories through which she explores rhythm, depth, texture, and space. Combining analog and digital processes, she creates immersive soundscapes where groove coexists with contemplation, and every sound serves a purpose within a broader emotional narrative.

Her visual practice reflects the same sensibility. Photography, illustration, and graphic design are not separate disciplines but different expressions of the same creative universe, each image extends the experience that begins with sound, exploring light, form, and everyday moments as spaces of emotional resonance. In 2023, she participated in a collective photography exhibition in Barcelona, further expanding her artistic research.

Currently, Nanda is developing two parallel musical directions that complement one another: one rooted in house, minimal house, breakbeat, and dub techno, where rhythmic architecture and depth take center stage; and another dedicated to ambient music, conceived as an exploration of immersive sonic landscapes that invite listeners to slow down, inhabit the present, and experience deep listening.

More than producing music or creating images, creates experiences, her work offers a space to pause, feel, and connect a place where sound and image transcend their own mediums, becoming a bridge between the artist's personal experience and those who encounter her work.
