Nanda Sanz understands art as a space for honesty. After ten years of navigating the electronic scene from Colombia to Europe, her current work is the result of a process of unification: the point where music meets photography, illustration, and design. In her universe, these disciplines do not compete; they coexist to create a refuge where pause and observation take center stage.

Born in Colombia, Nanda began building her path in sound a decade ago. During those years, her identity grew through production and DJing, moving between House and Minimal in her country’s most prominent clubs, where she even left her mark on vinyl. However, following the pandemic, she felt the need to seek new forms of expression. This drive led her to Germany and Amsterdam, performing in various clubs before deciding to permanently settle in Barcelona four years ago.

Settling in a new city brought a shift in priorities. During her time in Barcelona, Nanda chose to focus her energy on strengthening her personal vision, moving away from conventional industry dynamics. Throughout this period of introspection, art remained her constant. It was here that her perspective as a photographer —focused on the forms of the body and nature— and her work in abstract illustration and her discipline as a minimalist graphic designer ceased to be secondary activities, becoming the structural foundation for all her creative output.

Today, under her own name, Nanda Sanz has stopped dividing her creativity. Her visual work and her compositions coexist on the same plane, naturally feeding into one another. Her background in design provides the order and clarity that allow her music to evolve without boundaries. Currently, she is immersed in the creation of new material; for Nanda, the process of migrating and starting from scratch has been the ultimate opportunity to shed what was not essential and commit entirely to her life as a multidisciplinary artist.
